Gold Country Trails Council holds one of the oldest and best attended Poker Rides in northern California. In addition to being the main fund raiser for the Trails Council, it provides a memorable event to meet old and new friends, eat wonderful home-made food, and win loads of exquisite prizes!

Ride length is usually about eight miles of easy to moderate difficulty on beautifully wooded and well-marked trails.

Our BBQ and delicious food will be served at 1:00 PM, after the ride.  REMEMBER TO BRING CHAIRS!

Held every year with a U.S. Forest Service, Department of Agriculture Special Use Permit, the annual  Gold Country Trails Council Poker Ride benefit is based at Skillman Horse Campground (15 miles east of Nevada City on Highway 20) in the beautiful Tahoe National Forest.

The Forest Service prohibits discrimination in all its programs and activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation and marital or family status.  We appreciate you feeding weed and seed-free hay.
